This role involves assisting with daily caregiving routines, engaging infants in age-appropriate activities, and ensuring a clean, organized classroom that promotes early learning and development. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that support infants' cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, soothing, and maintaining sleep schedules Ensure the safety and well-being of all infants at all times Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized classroom environment in accordance with licensing regulations Support developmentally appropriate play and interaction (e.g., sensory activities, tummy time, music, and language exposure) Communicate effectively with Lead Teacher regarding children's needs, progress, and any concerns Build positive relationships with parents by sharing daily updates on their child's care and development Follow all health, safety, and childcare licensing guidelines Assist with record-keeping such as feeding charts, diaper logs, and incident reports Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA (Child Development Associate) or early childhood coursework preferred Previous experience working with infants (childcare center, babysitting, or similar setting) preferred Knowledge of basic infant care practices and early childhood development CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift up to 30-40 pounds and engage in active classroom participation Skills and Competencies Patience, compassion, and a nurturing demeanor Strong observational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Dependability and strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Infant classroom setting with frequent lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor Exposure to typical childcare conditions including noise and bodily fluids Requires close supervision of children at all times Schedule Full-time positions available Monday-Friday; hours may vary based on center needs Benefits (optional section - customize as needed) Competitive hourly wage Paid time off and holidays Professional development opportunities Childcare discounts (if applicable)
