Arts and Sciences | Chemistry and Biochemistry Administration Assists the Senior Chemist with the preparation of materials (chemicals, equipment, etc.) for scheduled laboratory experiments; oversees the organic chemistry window operation to meet requests from teaching assistants and students; distributes lab unknowns, instruments, specialized equipment, and lab glassware for use in the laboratories; train window students workers; supervise students workers during lab room inspection and student's locker check; report lab repair issues to the building service office to maintain a safe, highly efficient and functional lab; maintain inventory of the lab instrument and equipment, install and assemble lab equipment as needed; ensure all instruments and equipment function properly though scheduled calibration and performance checks; coordinate the instrument and equipment repair with outside vendors or other members of the department, as needed; perform chemical analysis; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
Additional Information:
The target hiring range for this position is $15.15 - $19.79 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget and the individual's qualifications.
