Adult Day Program Assistant Job Description Job Overview:
The Agape Care is looking for motivated and caring individuals to fill a Program Assistant role in our Adult Day program and provide support and services to those with developmental disabilities.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm
Location:
Multiple locations in Dublin available. In this role, you would:
- Provide engaging activities and socialization opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
- Teaching skills in independent daily living, work preparation, and community involvement
- Aid with meals and personal care as needed.
- Aid in program development and implementation.
- Supervise program activities and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Promote programs and engage with the community.
- Collect data to measure program effectiveness.
- Support marketing efforts to increase program visibility.
- Providing transportation for consumers before, during and after programming hours.
- Provide administrative aid for project management tasks.
- Establish and support positive relationships with other departments within the agency.
- Duties are subject to change depending on varying needs of consumers.
- In this role, you'd be working with individuals with a spectrum of behaviors.
Training will be provided on how to redirect and deescalate. If you have any behaviors you are uncomfortable working with please communicate that during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- 1 year previous experience as a caregiver or related field is preferred
- Strong skills in program development and implementation
- Ability to recruit and engage participants effectively
- Experience in supervising activities and teams
