Job Description

Company Overview We are dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving independence within their homes and communities. Our organization provides comprehensive support tailored to each person's unique needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Overview Assist Program Director with day-to-day operations of Day Habilitation programming. This includes facilitating skill development goals, attending ISP meetings as directed, documentation, and promoting our mission and philosophy. Responsibilities Responsible for the enforcement and observance of all Ohio Revised Code Section 5123.62 Bill of Rights in accordance with applicable laws and agency policies. Assist Program Manager with daily activities and actualization of each participant's skill development goals. Assist with participants in the area of personal hygiene, personal care, lifting, communication, eating, dressing and activities of daily living related to programming needs. Commitment to consistently engage, interact and communicate with participants in a nurturing and supportive way. Operate company vehicles to transport participants to offsite outings and to/from their homes. Ensure that all services delivered are properly documented and forwarded to the appropriate department. Attend and participate in Individualized Service Plan meetings as directed by Program Director. Assist Program Director with the transportation needs of the participants. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation program in the absence of the Program Director. Report any MUI or UI to the Program Director and/or MUI investigator and document any incidents as required. Provide other services or duties as assigned by Program Director or Day Habilitation Administrator. Represent the agency in a professional manner at all times. Requirements High School graduate/GED and at least 18 years of age. Evidence of knowledge in record keeping and report writing. Valid First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration certification Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance. Valid Driver's License. Meet all I-9 employment eligibility requirements. Successful completion of State and FBI background checks, including employment references, the DODD Abuser Registry, Nurse Aide Registry, Inspector General Registry, Offender Registry, System for Award Management, and Ohio Corrections Database. Meet initial and continuing DD Day Habilitation certification requirements. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without accommodation. A commitment to diversity and Gentle Teaching practices. Skills in the areas of interpersonal relationships, flexibility, problem solving, and demonstration of good common sense.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
