Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and students, assisting in classroom management and providing individualized support to enhance the educational experience. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their academic goals while promoting their social and emotional development. Duties Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities. Support students with special needs, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations for learning. Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions. Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students who require additional support. Maintain a safe and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Collaborate with teachers to track student progress and communicate any concerns regarding individual student needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to early childhood education and special education. Skills First aid certification is preferred. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and special education needs. Background in preschool education or early childhood development is highly valued. Familiarity with childcare practices, including toddler care and infant care. Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment. Previous experience as a nanny, babysitter, or caregiver is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student success. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children of various ages and backgrounds.
