In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a safe and positive space for children to explore and grow. Your energy and passion for working with children will contribute to their developmental milestones and love of learning from the earliest ages. Duties Assist in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and early childhood education principles. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior, implementing behavior management strategies, and maintaining a structured environment conducive to learning. Engage actively with children during play, learning activities, and routines such as snack time, nap time, and outdoor play to foster curiosity and social skills. Help monitor individual progress and adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with disabilities or special needs such as autism. Collaborate with lead teachers to prepare classroom materials, organize educational resources, and develop curriculum enhancements aligned with Montessori or other pedagogical approaches. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns that may arise. Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards related to daycare and preschool settings. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices including childhood behavior management techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool-aged children, including literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori methods. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism is a plus. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families. Ability to manage classroom routines confidently while fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable; ongoing professional development in special education or behavior management is encouraged.
