Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a dynamic educational environment as a contract paraprofessional for the upcoming school year. Two positions are available, working one-on-one and in small groups with children from PreK through 6th grade in a supportive elementary school setting. The school serves a range of students, including those with learning disabilities, autism, hearing impairments, other health impairments, and some with more intensive support needs. The assignment runs from August 3rd through May 20th, with a work week of 37.5 hours—plus the added perk of frequent Fridays off throughout the year. You'll be present in resource rooms and occasionally accompany students in general education classes, providing academic and behavioral assistance. Toileting support is not required.
Desired Qualifications:
High school diploma Oklahoma Paraprofessional certification Previous experience working with students with disabilities is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the classroom by implementing individualized educational plans Support students' learning and social development, both one-on-one and in groups Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to adapt activities and reinforce instruction Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff This opportunity offers a consistent assignment in one location, a highly collaborative team, and a school that values its paraprofessional staff.
