We are looking for qualified teachers to work in our childcare center! •20 hours a week Monday-Friday 2:00-6:00
Job Description:
Teacher Summary:
The teacher is responsible for the management and supervision of the classroom and children. The teacher is responsible for ensuring that all parent, child, and classroom staff concerns are appropriately addressed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists and supervises children during all activities Maintains appropriate DHS Staff/Child Ratios Counsels children in social, emotional, and academic development Physically arranges the classroom into well-defined interest areas Ensures that classroom is clean, safe, and organized Assists children with meal times and clean up Completes all center/classroom paperwork, e.g., daily notes, student accident reports, attendance reports, and meal count reports Attends and participates in staff meetings, center events, and parent meetings as requested Accepts temporary work assignments in the event regularly scheduled staff are not available Ensures that all classroom/outdoor equipment is in good working condition and is used/maintained properly Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that classroom functions in an orderly manner Communicates appropriate information to parents Ensures that classroom medication schedule is followed Meets all state requirements for the position Maintains 20 clock hours of training annually and provides Director with documentation Takes pride in the center as a whole by keeping all areas clean and orderly Other duties as given by the Director Pay is based on education and experience.
