This contract position is ideal for compassionate and dedicated individuals eager to make a difference in the lives of students from PreK through 6th grade. Work primarily in a resource room and alongside students in general education settings, addressing a range of needs such as autism, learning disabilities, hearing impairments, and more severe cases. You'll be assigned to a single elementary campus, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff. Your typical workweek will be approximately 37.5 hours, with the unique advantage of having several Fridays off throughout the year. This means more work-life balance while still contributing meaningfully to student growth.

Desired Qualifications:

High school diploma required Valid Oklahoma Paraprofessional certification (OK PARA cert) Previous experience working with children, particularly with special education or diverse needs, preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Genuine patience, empathy, and willingness to support students' individual learning goals

Key Responsibilities:

Assist students in both resource and general education classrooms, providing individualized support as needed Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and special education staff Assist students with classroom tasks; toileting support is not required
