Instructional Assistant Professor of Cyber Studies The University of Tulsa - 4.1 Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications Working with post-secondary students System administration Developing new academic courses Teaching computer science Working with undergraduate students Master of Science University course instructional design Cybersecurity education Full Job Description The School of Cyber Studies at the University of Tulsa (TU) is seeking a full-time teaching faculty member in Cyber Studies beginning August 2026. Established in 2021, the School of Cyber Studies builds on TU's long history of excellence in cyber security. The successful candidate will teach and help improve course offerings in the BS in Cyber Security. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to graduate course offerings and co-curricular activities related to cyber security. Rank and salary are commensurate with academic qualifications, teaching and industry experience. The University of Tulsa has been a leader in cyber security research and education for over 20 years. TU has been designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense Education by the federal government since 2000 and was one of the first 14 institutions awarded this distinction. The BS in Cyber Security was recently accredited by ABET, the first and only such CAC-accredited program in Oklahoma or Texas. TU alumni are employed worldwide in leading roles among the private and public sectors as well as academia. Faculty from engineering, computer science, business, social sciences, law and more regularly teach courses and conduct research in cyber security in the School of Cyber Studies, which is the nation's first and only dedicated academic department in cyber that offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. TU is a private university with approximately 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering and Computer Science, Health Sciences, and Law.
