About ASA-Oregon Taekwondo Program American Sports Academy - Oregon (ASA-Oregon) is a premier Taekwondo and afterschool learning center serving families in Beaverton, Bethany, and NW Portland. We go beyond traditional martial arts training by combining: Taekwondo (Poomsae, Sparring, Fundamentals) Youth Development & Leadership Training Character Education (Respect, Focus, Discipline) Our program is designed to help students grow physically, mentally, and socially in a structured and positive environment. We are currently expanding and seeking motivated Taekwondo instructors and assistant instructors who are passionate about working with children and developing future leaders.
Position Overview We are hiring:
Taekwondo Instructor / Martial Arts Instructor Master Instructor (Leadership Role Available) Assistant Instructor (Train-to-Hire Program Available) This position is ideal for candidates interested in: Teaching martial arts to children Developing leadership and coaching skills Growing into a long-term career in martial arts education Key Responsibilities Teach and lead Taekwondo classes for children (K-5 and beyond) Instruct fundamentals, poomsae (forms), sparring basics, and discipline Create a safe, structured, and engaging class environment Build student confidence, focus, and respect through positive coaching Communicate professionally with parents, students, and team members Assist with class setup, daily operations, and program organization Participate in events, camps, and team training sessions QualificationsTaekwondo Instructor (Master Position is available for 4th Dan and higher) Black Belt (2nd Degree or higher preferred) Experience teaching or coaching martial arts preferred Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills Assistant Instructor (Train-to-Hire Program)
Minimum:
1st Degree Black Belt (Required) Entry-level candidates welcome (training provided) Passion for working with children and youth development Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn Preferred Skills Martial Arts Instruction Taekwondo Coaching Youth Coaching / Child Development Afterschool Program Experience Sports Coaching / Fitness Training Classroom Management /
Leadership Schedule Weekdays:
