Min Hourly Rate $15.05 (Standard); $14.05 (Non-Urban); $16.30 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.50 (Standard); $21.00 (Non-Urban); $22.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill four part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Community and Program Assistant for the kaku-ixt mana ina hawsr at Oregon State University (OSU). The Cultural Resource Center (CRC) Community and Program Assistant supports the daily operations,munity engagement, and educational programming of Diversity & Cultural Engagement. Student Leaders work in partnership with professional staff and peers to maintain weing spaces, assist with programs and outreach, and contribute to student learning andmunity-building initiatives aligned with DCE's mission. While professional staff retain responsibility for overall decision-making and accountability, CRC Student Leaders play an active role in implementation, feedback, and student-centered leadership development. Thepetencies students develop while working at OSU are defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) as the essential skills employers seek in their hires. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Communication, Teamwork, Leadership, Equity & Inclusion Position Duties Administrative & Center Operation Support Staff Cultural Resource Center during scheduled shifts, providing consistent front-desk coverage Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries with professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate judgment Manage office operations including er support, mail pickup, submit supply requests and inventory tracking, as well as stock and monitor kitchen, office, and event supplies Maintainanized digital files and d drives Assist with center reservations, room scheduling, and calendar coordination facility, technical, or IT issues to appropriate campus partners Use and continuously learn updates for department software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Canva, Concur, Mazévo) Attend and actively participate in required trainings and weekly student staff meetings Follow university and departmental policies, procedures, and workflows Facilitate or co-facilitate meetings and presentations as assigned Maintain clean, safe, andanized center spaces, including kitchens and gathering areas Conduct routine walkthroughs during shifts to tidy spaces and greet guests Post weekly events' flyers, newsletters, and OSU updates in center spaces Set up and break down rooms for meetings and events, including tables, chairs, and equipment Operate basic audio-visual and event equipment Complete routine upkeep tasks (e.g., watering plants, resetting spaces) Safely lift and move furniture or equipment (up to 25-50 lbs) as required Community Engagement & Student Support Wee visitors and foster a respectful, inclusive, and affirming environment Provide orientations and tours for students and campus partners Buildmunity through relationship-based peer engagement and support Connect students to relevant campus andmunity resources Participate in outreach efforts such as tabling, presentations, and campus-wide events Represent DCE onmittees, working groups, or initiatives as assigned Collaborate with studentanizations, campus departments, andmunity partners Support a healthy workplace culture grounded in accountability, care, and repair Engage in ongoing reflection, identity development, and learning while supporting peers around identity development, social justice, and belonging Event Planning & Programming Contribute ideas during program brainstorming and planning processes Support event logistics, including proposals, scheduling, promotion, and execution Staff event check-in tables and provide on-site support Co-lead or facilitate events, including public speaking and group engagement Collaborate with studentanizations and wee student-initiated program ideas Support the development of event and department learning oues aligned with DCE goals Assist with event assessment and reflection to evaluate program impact Document programs through photos, videos, or narrative summaries Follow departmental processes for event planning, promotion, and budgeting Assist with social media content creation and maintenance as assigned Outreach, Education & Engagement Serve as a student leader on topics related to identity, equity, and social justice information about systems of oppression and their impact onmunities served by DCE Listen to and uplift the experiences of students from historically underrepresentedmunities Support coalition-building and cross-center collaboration Identify key issues impactingmunities served by the CRCs and assist with efforts to minimize or remove negative impacts Provide support for cultural, religious, andmunity-based activities and observances Respond appropriately to conflict or crisis situations by following training and referring to professional staff Demonstrate foundational knowledge of themunities served by DCE and amitment to continued learning Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found : hr.oregonstate.edu/student-employment-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requirements Must be academically enrolled in a high school,munity college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term• Graduate student officially admitted to
