Dallas Community School is a small, innovative public charter school offering a K-8 home learner model. Through our E3 approach, we engage, empower, and equip students through personalized, real-world learning in partnership with families. Educational Guides work closely with students and families to support individualized learning and academic success. We provide a supportive environment where students explore their interests, develop meaningful skills, and build confidence as learners and contributors in their communities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently hiring for a full-time Educational Program Assistant position. In this role, you will support Educational Guides, students, and families by helping coordinate curriculum and educational resources, maintain student records and documentation, and assist with the daily operations of our home learning program. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to advancing our E3 mission—to Engage, Empower, and Equip every student for success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Educational Guides in the day-to-day operation of the home learning program. Coordinate, organize, and distribute curriculum materials, educational resources, and school-owned equipment. Maintain accurate student records, documentation, and program data to support compliance and reporting requirements. Assist with personal learning plans (PLPs), work samples, assessments, and other student learning documentation. Support the processing and tracking of student allotments, reimbursements, and curriculum orders. Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff to provide information, answer questions, and support student success. Assist with state testing, workshops, events, and other program-wide activities. Organize digital files, maintain records, and help ensure deadlines and program requirements are met. Collaborate with Educational Guides and administrative staff to support efficient program operations. Maintain confidentiality and contribute to a positive, student-centered culture aligned with Dallas Community School's E3 mission.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be over the age of 18 and have knowledge of appropriate provisions of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), or the ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge of such provisions. High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of two years of experience in a school, educational, or administrative support setting preferred. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, and other technology tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Commitment to supporting student success and advancing Dallas Community School's E3 mission to Engage, Empower, and Equip. Successful completion of required background check and fingerprinting.
EMPLOYMENT
Upon offer of employment, a background check and fingerprints will be required or proof of a valid TSPC license number. Dallas Community School reserves the right to extend the closing date, withdraw, or otherwise revise this position.
