Job Description

Job Overview Play to Grow Preschool is state-licensed child care & preschool in home program. We're currently looking to hire a committed, very dependable, EXPERIENCED assistant Director &/or LEAD Preschool Teacher (minimum of two consecutive years with the same employer is required as low teacher turnover & loyal, longterm teachers are very important to our program & its families) work schedule Monday-Friday 8-430pm. We are looking for a great addition to be with us for years to come. we're small, fun, quality care that values teamwork & professional growth & development. We're hiring for our SE 151st Stark (& SE 139th powell) location We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Director as well as Preschool Lead Teacher to join our little art & outdoor emphasis child care serving ages 6 weeks to 6 years in greater Gresham. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a strong commitment to early childhood education. The Preschool Teacher will work collaboratively with parents and staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor and assess children's environment, progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns. Administer medication as needed in accordance with health guidelines. Collaborate with other educators and staff members to enhance the overall educational experience. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and care plans. Support children with special needs or those requiring additional assistance in their learning journey. Teacher Requirements:
- We're looking for someone experienced, quick thinker, works well under pressure/fast-pace, & very passionate about working with young children. - ONLY seeking experienced, long-term assistant director/strong lead preschool teacher that can implement more daily structure & planned developmentally appropriate activities, etc & has experience with children with autism & various developmental difficulties.
