GENERAL SUMMARY
This position assists the Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers and the Career and College Readiness department to assist with a variety of functions in support of student learning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Depending upon the individual assignment, the Clerk•Career and College Readiness may perform all of a combination of the following: Coordinate travel arrangements and documentation for teachers, directors, and staff, including day trips, overnight stays, and out-of-state travel for student clubs and professional development. Collaborate with high school ASB clerks to manage travel requirements for students, staff, and chaperones/volunteers. Organize transportation requests for CTE staff, including bus and van reservations via Informed K12 with the BSD Transportation Department, van requests at each high school and manage the CTE vehicle reservation calendar at ESC. Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules for CTE vehicles with the BSD Shop. Assist teachers with obtaining Type II certification by coordinating training with Bethel Transportation Department, tracking certifications, and ensuring up-to-date records. Coordinate district release substitutes for CTE events and activities. Maintain and track CTE device and equipment inventory for all secondary schools and the CTE office, including spot checks and internal audits for accuracy. Manage inventory within asset databases (Destiny Asset Manager, Filemaker Pro) and oversee physical inventory counts. Responsible for processing surplus of all CTE inventory. Process requisitions, purchase orders, and data entry for CTE purchases within Skyward; assist with CTE department purchasing and maintain records for state reports. Maintain detailed records for transportation and travel costs. Reconcile credit card receipts for 70+ CTE staff cards. Maintain department calendars and assist with event planning as needed for the CTE department. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to district ethical guidelines. Utilize technology and perform other duties as assigned. Provides a wide variety of backup and peak load office support, such as answering telephones, assisting office visitors, and performing a wide variety of word processing, typing, and filing.

Required to shift multiple demands and tasks; requires concentration and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires visual concentration; exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods; require to sit for prolonged periods. Some lifting of boxes and small offices supplies and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, dome college or other training in office procedures preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively. High-level keyboarding and data entry skills. Ability to operate a computer and learn the operation of specific software programs including word processing and spreadsheet applications. 10-key calculator by touch. Ability to set up and maintain an accurate filing system, organize and prioritize work load. Able to work independently with little supervision. Attention to detail, customer service, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff vendors and the public as needed. Special Requirement:
Requires fingerprinting and background check to determine that there have been no convictions involving physical molestation, abuse, injury or neglect of a minor. Must complete training in and adhere to district infection control plan.
