Teacher / Assistant Teacher (FT/PT)

Duties Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Support children's social-emotional growth by encouraging cooperation, communication skills, and independence Assist in organizing classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences Ensure safety and proper childcare practices are followed at all times within the preschool setting Planning/implementing the school curriculum and assessing the developmental needs of students. Assist in the management of and participate in a variety of learning activities that provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning goals. Completing prep work needed within the classroom for activities and lessons. Plan/implement lessons in a nurturing, curiosity-driven environment that fosters the appropriate developmental stages in children's lives. Assist the lead teacher in implementing activities and curriculum that will support and develop self-esteem and social skills. Assist children with meal times, bathroom needs/diaper changes, and clean-up when needed Maintain a healthy and safe environment through the sanitation of toys and cleaning of the classroom Communicate daily with children, parents, and staff in a positive, professional manner. Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body. Positively interact with students to meet their individual needs to support play, exploration, and learning. Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom and equipment. Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, and other meetings upon request. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Strong understanding of early childhood education principles Classroom management skills and experience Knowledge of childhood development and special education practices Ability to create a nurturing and safe environment for children Effective communication and interpersonal skills with children and families Background in Montessori or other child-centered educational philosophies is a plus Join us to nurture young learners' potential while building your career in a supportive and energetic environment.
