Hours vary based on school from 7a-4p Key Responsibilities Support and monitor student progress Provide written input and observations as requested Communicate with parents, staff, and support professionals in coordination with classroom staff Record and report behavior data for assigned student Assist with individual, small group, and whole-class instruction Provide supervision and instruction both on and off campus Help organize classroom furniture, materials, and daily plans Ensure student safety during bus duty, playground time, and off-campus activities Supervise the classroom in the teacher's absence when needed Implement behavior support plans in collaboration with staff Assist with toileting, feeding, and other personal care tasks as assigned What We're Looking For Compassionate and reliable individuals Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced educational environment Experience working with children or in a classroom setting is a plus Qualifications & Requirements To be considered for the Personal Care Assistant role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Minimum 1 year of experience supporting children with special needs (including physical, emotional, and mental support) High School Diploma or equivalent Valid CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Child Abuse Clearance Proof of Physical Exam and PPD Test If you have a history of positive PPD, a Chest X-Ray is required Two forms of government-issued ID, including a Social Security card Criminal background check, including fingerprinting and central registry clearance Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
