06/26/2026 The Dallastown Area School District seeks a Full-Time, 10-Month Autistic Support Paraprofessional for Dallastown Area Intermediate School (Yellow Community - Grades 4-6) beginning the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting special education teachers in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.
Responsibilities:
Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment. Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises Performing routine clerical work Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment Work Schedule / Pay Periods for 10-
Month Positions:
Full-day hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, which is 7.50 working hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch period Your work schedule and pay will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year - approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor. While there is typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-

Paid Holidays:

Minimum Qualifications:
Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special education department, OR , Completed at least two years of post secondary study (48 credit hours or more) OR , associate's degree or higher, Experience working with students on the autism spectrum and knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis is strongly preferred Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others Acceptable record of attendance Dallastown Area School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
