Job Description
Overview Elam Hearts and Hands Preschool is a ministry of Elam United Methodist Church, located in Glen Mills, PA. The preschool strives to create a fun, hands-on learning experience for the children while offering them love, kindness and care. Our school is a half-day program with the option to extend the day. The school runs from September through May. We are looking for kind, motivated, and energetic individuals to fill a five-day, assistant teacher position and a three-day floater position. The assistant teacher's role would involve working alongside the lead teacher to help support the children during their daily activities and to facilitate craft time. The floater position is an extra set of hands to offer assistance to multiple classrooms as needed. It involves setting up and cleaning up during snack time, supporting the children during bathroom breaks, and small miscellaneous jobs. Both positions are paid at an hourly rate from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM and begin September 2026. Hourly rate may be adjusted based upon degree and/or experience. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Strong teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, children, and parents in a dynamic preschool environment. Passion for working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
