Job Description
Overview The Goddard School of Jamison is a premier early childhood education center where curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning flourish every day. We believe children learn best through play and hands-on discovery. Our nurturing teachers guide them in a safe and caring environment. We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Teachers in the Infant, Toddler and Twos Programs of our Pennsylvania Keystone STARS 4 rated school which has earned both National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) recognition. Whether you're starting your career in education or continuing your journey, we provide a supportive and engaging atmosphere where you can thrive. Responsibilities As an Assistant Teacher , you'll: Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans based on Goddard's play-based curriculum Foster a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore Support children in developing emerging self-help skills, such as handwashing, potty training, and feeding Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure the success of each child's learning experience Assist with classroom activities, group games, and story time Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment Supervise outdoor play and ensure child safety at all times Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Model respectful and professional behavior at all times
Qualifications :
Educational Requirements :
High school graduate (at least 18 years of age) Meet the requirements set forth by the state licensing agencies which include, but are not limited to: 2 years experience working with children- or•1 year experience working with children & 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field•or•CDA•or•degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field Preferred but not required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field CDA credential Previous experience in a licensed child care center or preschool Experience working with toddlers or two-year olds All candidates must be able to pass required background checks and health clearances.
- Friday Flexible shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM Full-time and Part-time shifts available No nights or weekends!
