Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom activities across various age groups, assist with curriculum implementation, and ensure a positive learning experience for all students. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, enthusiastic about early childhood education, and eager to make a meaningful difference in children's lives. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and social-emotional development. Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance to promote a respectful and productive environment. Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring to students needing additional support in reading, writing, or math. Help with daily childcare routines including diapering, feeding, and supervising indoor and outdoor activities. Collaborate with staff to monitor student progress and communicate effectively with families about their child's development. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes learning. Cover classrooms as needed when lead teachers are absent or during transition periods. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings or classrooms. Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly valued. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with Montessori or other child-centered teaching philosophies is a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and patience. Proof of relevant certifications in childcare, special education, or behavior management preferred but not required.
