The Assistant Teacher will work alongside the Lead Teachers to assist with daily classroom activities, supervision, meals, learning centers, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for all children. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities Supervise and engage with children throughout the day Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom Support learning activities, playtime, meals, and nap routines Encourage positive behavior and social interaction Communicate respectfully with staff and families Follow daycare policies and licensing regulations Skills Patience and positive attitude Teamwork and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Dependable and punctual Basic knowledge of child development Classroom organization and supervision skills Creative and engaging with children Safety awareness and attention to detail Requirements High school diploma required; CDA, associate, or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting Shows empathy and compassion for young children Must pass required state background checks and state requirements
