OPPORTUNITY AT IMPACTFUL INTERNATIONAL NONPROFIT
Eisenhower Fellowships (EF, www.efworld.org) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Philadelphia, PA. EF identifies, empowers and connects innovative leaders through a transformative fellowship experience and lifelong engagement in a global network of more than 1,900 dynamic change agents committed to creating a world that is peaceful, prosperous and just. Each year, approximately 50-70 U.S. and international leaders from EF's network of over 55 countries engage in fellowships that range in length from four to six weeks. Fellowships are individually tailored to reflect each person's professional interests and post-fellowship goals of real-world, positive impact. We are currently looking to hire a full-time program assistant to join our team. Program assistants are primarily responsible for supporting program officers for the international and USA Program. This assistant will support the directors across all logistics, administrative and programmatic areas, including the design, organization and implementation of customized and transformational fellowship programs. A typical fellowship itinerary will differ by program type, but each includes approximately 50 professional appointments and, when in person, travel to eight to ten U.S. cities and/or multiple countries for the USA programs. The position requires close attention to detail and frequent coordination with Fellows and program teams. Occasional evening and weekend work is required. The program assistant will report to the director of International Programs and the director of USA Programs. This is a contract position from August to November and offers the potential for longer-term employment. Any extension or transition to a regular full-time position will depend on performance, organizational priorities and available funding. The position is based out of our Philadelphia office and is an in-person role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide logistical and programmatic support to program officers. Handle a variety of technology-related tasks to help with programming. Assist with the preparation and logistical planning for interviews, virtual meetings, seminars and other events.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Program Assistant must be able to handle a wide range of administrative and programmatic tasks, take initiative and work independently. There is a premium on the ability to interact with national and international leaders and staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure, while remaining discrete, flexible, proactive, resourceful and professional.
The ideal candidate will be:
Detail-oriented and a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills Able to manage multiple priorities and high volume of time-sensitive communications Able to complete projects and special assignments, set priorities; manage time; gain cooperation of others; monitor progress; demonstrate initiative; and solve problems Experienced in using Salesforce and Zoom (1+ years preferred) Proficient in Microsoft applications and social media platforms (Twitter, , Instagram, ) Resourceful, flexible and curious; interested in international affairs, politics and/or diplomacy Committed to working collaboratively with all members of the programs team A Bachelor's Degree is required.
