Full Job Description Overview Hours:
10:00 am-6pm 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Monday-Friday High School Diploma a must Must enroll in higher education program, CDA or BA Join our vibrant educational community as a Teacher Aide, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact the growth and success of young learners. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities, managing classroom behavior, and fostering a positive learning environment. Your energy and compassion will help create an engaging space that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. Responsibilities Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and social-emotional learning, ensuring activities are engaging and accessible for all students. Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and breaks to promote safety and positive behavior. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to reinforce learning concepts in literacy, math, or other core areas. Help monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers to inform instruction and individualized support plans. Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that aligns with educational compliance standards. Collaborate with teachers and staff on behavior management strategies, classroom routines, and inclusive practices to foster a nurturing atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities to strengthen home-school connections. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with educational technologies such as computers used for instructional purposes. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, parents, and colleagues. Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Understanding of educational compliance standards including the ESSA and regulations related to disabilities. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire.
