This role is ideal for someone who respects each child's individuality, values hands-on learning, and brings a calm, nurturing presence to the classroom. We seek Spanish Bilingual candidates for our Spanish immersion center. We seek committed candidates with a vision to learn and grow further within the field. Responsibilities Support the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development Guide toddlers with patience and respect, encouraging independence and self-directed exploration. Assist children with daily routines such as diapering, handwashing, meals, and rest time in a calm, respectful manner. Model grace, courtesy, and positive social interactions. Observe children closely and share insights on developmental progress with Lead Teacher and Director. Help prepare, rotate, and maintain developmentally appropriate materials and learning activities. Encourage practical life skills such as cleaning up, dressing, and caring for the environment Maintain a clean, orderly, and aesthetically inviting classroom space Support conflict resolution using gentle, respectful communication Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and licensing requirements Build trusting, respectful relationships with children and families. Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in toddler care. Experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings. Knowledge of classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and effective learning experiences. Understanding of child-led, play-based, and hands-on learning approaches. Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, and sensory based play. Ability to work effectively with children who have diverse needs. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to facilitate bilingual interactions with children, families, and staff. Proficiency in classroom experience related to early childhood education. Qualifications Minimum an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related fields (psychology, mental health). Minimum experience (2-3 years) working with toddlers (ages 1-3) in a childcare or early education setting required. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) State Clearances and background checks. Strong observation, communication, and collaboration skills Calm, patient, and dependable with a genuine respect for young children. Bilingual - Spanish (preferred) All candidates must submit (3) professional work references.
