Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Behavior Technician to support a 16-year-old student in a one-on-one setting for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This contract role is based near Pottsville and Mahanoy City, PA, and welcomes professionals from surrounding areas with a background as a Paraprofessional, Behavior Specialist, or BT/RBT. You'll play a crucial part in helping a student succeed academically and socially by providing consistent, compassionate guidance each day.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

BT, RBT, or Paraprofessional experience in a school or educational setting Background in supporting students with behavioral, developmental, or learning needs Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies and data collection Ability to implement behavior support plans and adapt to individualized student needs Collaborative mindset for working with teachers, school staff, and families Excellent communication skills and reliability - punctuality and consistency are key

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 behavioral support and guidance during classroom and school activities Monitor and document student progress, behaviors, and interventions Assist educators with modifying instructional approaches as needed Reinforce positive behaviors and help students develop coping strategies Communicate regularly with school staff and families regarding student achievements and needs Maintain confidentiality and uphold all school policies and practices In this role, you'll earn $25-$27.50 per hour, making a meaningful impact while enjoying the support of a collaborative school environment.
