Key Responsibilities As a DSP I, you will work directly in our residential areas and day programs, assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and community integration:
Skill Development & Advocacy:
Assist and prompt clients in developing social, recreational, and daily living skills. Daily Living Support (ADLs): Provide hands-on assistance with showering/bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and room maintenance.
Community & Job Coaching:
Transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, personal/company leisure activities, and vocational tasks (including job coaching and safe vehicle transfers).
Medication Administration:
Safely administer medications following company training and yearly practicums.
Documentation & Behavioral Support:
Implement behavioral plans, accurately log daily outcome data, and communicate significant incidents through the proper chain of command. Job Qualifications We are looking for compassionate, responsible professionals who meet the following criteria: Minimum of 6 months of experience working with individuals with disabilities or special populations (Required) . High School Diploma or GED (Required) Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver's License (Required for client transportation). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow safety policies, universal precautions, and crisis management techniques. Physical Demands & Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting. Frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting/carrying of weights 50 lbs.
