Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in a 7th Grade Center Autistic Support classroom for the remainder of the current and upcoming school year. Make a real difference as a dedicated PCA/Behavior Technician, guiding and assisting multiple students in grades 7 and 8 who benefit from compassionate behavioral and instructional support. Your expertise is needed from now through June 4, 2026, with the possibility to continue August 25, 2026, through June 4, 2027. Work Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing essential daily assistance. What we're looking for: Experience as a Paraprofessional, PCA, BT, or in a direct support role for individuals with disabilities preferred Strong commitment to supporting students with behavioral needs, including those involving aggression or intensive self-care requirements Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate seamlessly with teachers and school staff Patience, reliability, and a proactive approach to meeting student needs Willingness to participate in ongoing training and follow student-specific support plans Key responsibilities: Provide consistent behavioral, academic, and social-emotional assistance to students throughout the school day Support students in managing behaviors, following routines, and engaging safely in classroom activities Assist with personal care tasks as needed Document daily observations and report progress or concerns to the teaching team and school leadership Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and respectful learning environment This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners—while expanding your professional skills in a supportive educational setting.
