Multiple Openings Available School Age Positions:

35 Hours Per Week (Full-Time)

Early Intervention Positions:

29 Hours Per Week (Part-Time) Assignment locations determined after onboarding and district approval Responsibilities Provide instructional and behavioral support to students Assist classroom teachers and special education staff Support students with academic, social, and functional skill development Implement behavior intervention plans as directed Assist with classroom activities and transitions Support students with personal care needs when required Maintain a safe and positive learning environment Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following Pennsylvania paraprofessional requirements: Associate Degree or higher Minimum of 48 college credits Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential Pennsylvania Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators Candidates who do not currently meet one of the requirements may be eligible to obtain the Pennsylvania paraprofessional credential during onboarding.

Additional Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of paraprofessional or special education experience Ability to work a school-day schedule Residence within approximately 35 minutes of Carbon or Lehigh County Strong communication and teamwork skills Important Information Candidates should be comfortable working with students who may require: Behavioral support Redirection and de-escalation Assistance with toileting or diapering Support during student elopement situations Occasional lifting and physical assistance Assignments are based on district needs and may vary by classroom, grade level, and student population.
