In this role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students of various ages and abilities. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education Support students with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special education requirements Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive behavior management strategies Facilitate communication using tools like American Sign Language (ASL) when appropriate to support deaf or hard-of-hearing students Aid in developing and adapting curriculum materials to meet individual IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals Supervise children during activities, recess, meals, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement Contribute to classroom organization, lesson planning, and curriculum development to enhance learning experiences Support toddlers, preschoolers, or early childhood learners in activities that promote childhood development and literacy education Skills Experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings, including preschool or private school environments Knowledge of special education practices, including IEP implementation and behavior management techniques Familiarity with Montessori or other early childhood education philosophies is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learning needs and developmental levels Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desirable for supporting deaf or hard-of-hearing students Classroom management skills to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism to support their educational progress Join us in inspiring young minds!
