Preschool Assistant Teacher

Gentle Rain Preschool Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities Gentle Rain Preschool in Strausstown, PA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our 3&4 year old classroom. Previous experience in preschool education is preferred. The Teachers Assistant will be expected to assist in the preschool classes and help the lead teacher with age-appropriate activities in the classrooms.

Assistant Teacher daily responsibilities include:

1. Create a Christian environment for the children and coworkers. 2. Assist with activities age appropriate to the classroom 3. Develop and maintain supportive relationships with families. 4. Participate with children in prayers, songs and interact with children during free time; (join in play) and greet children. 5. Help to maintain, keep organized, and clean classroom area. 6. Assist with outside activities and group activities and attend staff meetings. 7. Provide physical care and cleaning of young children as required. 8. Care for resources and center equipment responsibly. 9. Collaborate with co-workers to ensure a smooth daily routine. Generally, this is an 9 ½ month per year position that aligns with most public school calendars. Some Summer work may offered. Salary offered will depend on experience and education.
