RESPONSIBILITIES

Support, manage and participate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. Support the delivery of lesson plans for a young preschool classroom, implement school curriculum, and support the developmental needs of students. Maintain a healthy and safe environment. Communicate positively with students, parents and staff. Safely lift a child or children with a total weight of 40 pounds. Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Assistant Teacher Applicants:

Need at least a high school diploma Two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education a plus. Previous experience as an Early Childhood Education Teacher in a licensed preschool or early development center is preferred. Experience using Teaching Strategies Gold and Brightwheel a plus. Able to furnish required clearances. Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills. Sense of humor encouraged.
