Data Systems Support Specialist - Special Ed & Early On
SPECIAL EDUCATION

Hybrid (SISD Central Campus).GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Executive Director / Director of Special Education, the Special Education Data Systems Support Specialist will be responsible for providing oversight to assigned SISD programs and Early On in the area of enrollment and data collection activities for the SISD Pupil Count.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Special Education Department Responsibilities:
Conduct all data collection activities for the following off-site programs:SISD STEP
Program SISD Services Only Provide data updates to the SISD Executive Director and Director of Special Education. Work with local districts and SISD programs on timely and accurate data submission associated with Special Education pupil accounting. Attend professional development relative to Special Education Count. Provide administrative support for department professional development events. Other duties the Executive Director/ Director of Special Education assigns.Early On Job Responsibilities:
Processes Early On enrollments into Ed Plan. Maintains Early On records. Monitors databases for compliance. Must know and meet required timelines for referrals, IFSPs, 6-month reviews, etc. Prepares Early On Count (Oct./Feb/June), including state and local data reports. Collects referral response forms. Generates UIC codes for all referred children. Creates passwords for new database users. Answers questions from the public (phone calls) regarding Early On. Creates data reports for Early On using computer software and program databases. Provides administrative support in community engagement events to promote information and access to families regarding the Early On Program and services available. Communicates with healthcare providers across Saginaw County regarding the Early On referral process.MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED equivalency. Associate's degree in Systems Management or related field, preferred. Experience working with database systems. Experience with Ed Plan and Skyward systems are required. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate intermediate to advanced Excel and database/systems management skills. Must be able to act in a confidential manner and keep all student, parent, and staff information confidential. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with various staff, families, local school districts, and family physicians. Must demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills. Must demonstrate the ability to analyze data information and make decisions based on this data. Must be able to react to change productively. Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a daily work schedule. Must be able to work independently in a self-directed manner.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
