Job Summary Instructional Aide for SI 563 - Game Theory Simply knowing that people behave strategically is not a recipe for success, but acquiring a framework for strategic thinking is. This course gives students the competitive edge to anticipate, formulate, and analyze strategic interactions. You will learn how to acquire and process information to act effectively in strategic situations, based on the analysis of the motivations of other participants. You will also learn how to incentivize and motivate users, collaborators, and customers to further the objectives of an organization, community, or society. More information about this course can be found on U-M?s Course Catalog via Wolverine Access. You will be required to attend lectures. You will grade seven assignments on concepts like Nash equilibrium SPNE, bargaining, Bayesian Nash equilibrium, auctions, and signaling games. You will also grade very short quizzes (probably around 5 - 8 of these). You will have to enter assignments and quiz grades into Canvas. Responsibilities• Managing Canvas site Prepare, administer, and grade subjective and objective examinations and assignments May interact with students regarding course content or grades Required Qualifications• Undergraduate in good academic standing with knowledge of the subject matter. OR Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology This position is not open to current University of Michigan graduate students. 1+ years of experience as a teaching assistant or grader Knowledge of game theory Modes of Work Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work Schedule Estimated 8 - 10 hours a week, with a flexible schedule, with the expectation of attending regularly scheduled synchronous remote meetings. The estimated Fall 2026 schedule is August 16, 2026 to December 31, 2026; Winter 2027 dates are January 1, 2027, through April 30, 2027. Work Locations School of Information, Leinweber Building, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor - This is an in-person position with an occasional need or flexibility for remote work.
