Central Falls, RI, 02863 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our early childhood education team in Central Falls, RI. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and lessons. Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through guided play and instruction. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance under the direction of the lead teacher. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members. Help prepare materials and set up learning centers. Observe and document children's progress and report to the lead teacher as needed. Qualifications Previous experience as a preschool teacher assistant or in early childhood education preferred. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic about working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
