Aug 24, 2026 Job Description Teaching Assistant We are seeking three energetic Teaching Assistants to support in our Kindergarten classroom. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively and share a love of learning and a belief that every child can learn.
Teaching Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Works under the supervision of a teacher or instructor. Watches and supervises students. Gives students additional attention and instruction. Is present and engaged during class sessions. Supports teacher's lessons by reviewing material with students. Contributes to lesson plans and class materials. Enforces school and class rules to help teach students appropriate behavior. Helps teachers prepare for instruction by getting materials ready or setting up equipment. Helps support recess, lunch, and other duties as needed throughout the building. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand or sit for long periods Our Kindergarten runs five full days (8:15 AM -2:30 PM) where children grow as readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and faith-filled young friends. Each classroom offers a child a small learning environment with one classroom teacher and one teacher assistant to create a small teacher-to-student ratio.
Teaching Assistant Qualifications/ Skills:
Communication Comfortable interacting with children Time management Organizational skills Strong written and verbal skills Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills Analyzing information Decision making Experience working with young children
Education and Experience Requirements:
