Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact in education as a dedicated paraprofessional, supporting students and educators in a contract position near beautiful Newport, RI. In this dynamic role, you'll play a vital part in fostering an inclusive classroom environment while providing personalized assistance to students and collaborating closely with teaching staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, classroom assistant, or in a similar educational support role Understanding of classroom management techniques and a positive, student-focused attitude Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and support staff Ability to adapt quickly and provide individualized support to meet diverse student needs High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in education is a plus
Your Contribution Will Include:
Offering direct classroom support by assisting teachers with lesson activities, organization, and supervision Providing one-on-one or small group guidance to students who require additional help Assisting with classroom management and encouraging a productive, respectful learning environment Supporting students with special needs under the supervision of certified staff Participating in meetings and collaborating with teachers to develop effective strategies for student growth Helping monitor student progress and contributing to an inclusive school environment In this role, you'll enjoy the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students and support a dedicated educational team.
