In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood education, working closely with children from infants to preschoolers in a supportive setting that values growth and creativity. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and sensory activities. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills. Provide attentive childcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development. Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining a clean, inviting environment. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance as needed. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings. Knowledge of special education strategies and working with individuals with autism or other disabilities. Ability to assist with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and staff. Classroom management skills to promote positive behavior and a safe learning environment. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childcare safety protocols.
