The research assistant will be directly involved in the collection of questionnaire, interview, laboratory and other research data. This position requires exercising best practices in patient management, providing timely and accurately reports from research databases to PIs and research staff, and provides support for the research investigators, faculty, trainee physicians and program coordinator/manager. • Assist PI in several ambulatory clinics by administering questionnaires and consents to the patients; collect data needed for the study per the protocol; provide information to the study participants and answer study-related questions during their appointment 25%
• Contact study participants by phone or letter to schedule follow up visits post-surgery for shoulder, knee and hip long-term follow up studies; Conduct outcome study survey data collection by calling participants by phone and ask outcome questions for the shoulder, knee and hip long-term follow up studies; utilize Excel to maintain enrollment logs and follow up logs 20%
• Collect, compile, and input study data for study participants into specified databases; Manage study data and prepare reports as deemed necessary by study PIs and Research Coordinator. 15%
• Travel with Research Coordinator, when applicable, to clinic sites and provide assistance with participant recruitment, and data collection for research studies. 5%
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Description Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
