🌟 Assistant Teacher - Toddler Classrooms (Ages 1-2)
Location:
The Learning Experience, Columbia Schedule:
9am-6pm, Monday-Friday (full availability required)
Compensation:
Based on experience Join Our Toddler Teaching Team We're seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Teacher to support our toddler classrooms. If you love helping young children explore their world, build independence, and reach new developmental milestones, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a daily impact. What You'll Do Partner with Lead Teachers to implement engaging, age‑appropriate activities Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment Support daily care routines, including diapering, feeding, and smooth transitions Build trusting, positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff Observe and document developmental progress and classroom behaviors What We're Looking For Experience working with young children (ages 1-3) Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset Flexibility to work within the center's 7:00 AM-6:00 PM operating hours Education in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus Has or will obtain the 15‑hour South Carolina Health & Safety Certification (free) before orientation day Has or will obtain First Aid/CPR certification A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine love for early learning Why You'll Love Working With Us Supportive, team‑oriented environment Opportunities for ongoing training and professional growth A chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young children
