Job Description
Overview Join our early childhood education team as a Two Year Old Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their critical developmental years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment tailored to two-year-olds. Your positive energy and commitment will foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning that set children on a path to success. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable classroom experience in a supportive educational setting. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities focused on early childhood development, including literacy, math, and social skills Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and organized environment conducive to active learning and exploration Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and other hands-on activities that promote cognitive and emotional growth Observe and document individual children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and parent communications Help facilitate positive behavior management techniques aligned with best practices for working with young children and those with special needs or autism Support daily routines such as diapering, potty training, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure comfort and consistency for all children Collaborate with team members to plan lessons Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, including literacy education, math fundamentals, and behavior management strategies Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Ability to maintain professionalism while managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
