Salary Range:
$20.89 - $23.49/HOUR, depending upon qualifications, plus benefits. We're seeking a detail‑oriented individual to support a variety of administrative functions within our Continuing and Distance Education department. This role helps keep daily operations running smoothly by assisting staff, responding to learner inquiries, handling routine paperwork, and supporting processes related to program participation and enrollment. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, service‑focused environment. SDState is the state's largest, most comprehensive university with over $94 million annual research expenditures, more than 200 academic programs and an enrollment of approximately 12,000 students. The university is part of a dynamic community for families, students, young professionals, and retirees, which offers an abundance of attractions and activities. This position is located in Brookings, SD Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.Job Responsibilities:
This position provides comprehensive administrative support for Continuing and Distance Education, including assistance to the director and departmental staff. Responsibilities include delivering excellent customer service and phone support to prospective and current online, distance, and dual credit learners; processing dual credit applications and related documentation; managing externally supported paperwork; serving as the department's accessibility liaison; and supporting general office operations and management.Benefits :

Knowledge of:
Computer software and systems (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel). University processes and procedures or ability to learn. Database management. Customer service practices. Skill & Ability to: Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability and desire to find information not readily available. Analyze and create reports from various sources of information. Make independent-decisions using critical thinking and problem solving.
