This position plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our campus store and fulfillment center while delivering excellent customer service. Jackrabbit Central is South Dakota State University's (SDState's) official campus store, a retail hub selling textbooks, SDState-branded apparel, school supplies, and gifts, with locations in the Student Union, downtown Brookings, and the Dykhouse Stadium, serving students, staff, alumni, and fans while supporting university initiatives. It's the go-to spot for everything from required course materials to Jackrabbit spirit wear. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Manager of Marketing and Retail Operations, the Fulfillment Center Supervisor is responsible for directing operations in the shipping & receiving center. Key responsibilities of this position include:
Manage Shipments:
Prepare outgoing shipments and receive iing goods, ensuring all items are accurately documented and in good condition.
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate records of inventory, including tracking, tracing, and updating the status of shipments. Ensure all iing merchandise is correctly and accurately received into inventory.
Loading and Unloading:
Physically load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.
Documentation:
Complete necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving processes, including packing lists and shipping labels.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other store personnel, including buyers and accounting, to ensure efficient operations.
Quality Control:
Inspect iing shipments for discrepancies and damages, reporting any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean andanized work environment.
Supervision:
Oversee other employees working in shipping & receiving area. Ensure they are on task and effectively contributing to shipping & receiving goals.
