TEACHER VACANCY CIRCULAR NO 11 ASSESSMENT SUPPORT TEACHER ADULT EDUCATION 2026 2027

Position:
Assessment Support Teacher (Up to 4 positions) (One year position)
Location:
Adult Education- Various Adult Education Schools Eligibility Requirements:
Licensed, Appointed and Tenured New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) Teacher. Preference may be given to appointed teachers currently working for D79-Adult Education.
Selection Criteria:
Satisfactory ratings Experience or willingness to work with adult students Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft programs- Strong excel Skillset Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with other professional staff Demonstrated ability to maintain and open communication with students Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills Commitment to continuous Professional Development Highly organized Satisfactory record of attendance
Selection Criteria:
Coordinate students receiving credit for passing the NYS Regents examination Review and analyze assessment data, identify trends and advise school leaders of needed changes Ensure that all staff receive assessment training and Professional Development Liaison with GED department to support students applying for the GED Exam Coordinate Readiness and GED applications for students Coordinate GED Readiness and GED testing for students Coordinate the scoring of GED readiness test Support registration and orientation of Fast Track applicants Coordinate the entry of GED Readiness scores in ASISTS Deliver workshop on Test tasking strategies Provide workshops on computerized testing Serve as Fast Track coordinator Conduct GED testing information sessions and workshops as needed Lead the Assessment scoring team
Hours:
As per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement of 30 hours and 50 minutes a week based on the program hours of 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM, including two evenings and
Saturdays Term:
Three-year school term, subject to budget availability and satisfactory performance
