Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant 3311 Kimball Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111 From $10 an hour - Full-time From $10 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners in their critical developmental stages. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for infants and toddlers. Your energy and positive attitude will contribute to fostering curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth in young children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans focused on early childhood education, including literacy, math, and social skills development Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized learning environment for infants and toddlers Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, language acquisition, and motor skills development Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation Help monitor children's behavior and support positive behavior management strategies to foster emotional regulation Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development Support documentation of children's progress through observations and proofreading of developmental records Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education methods (including Montessori or private school experience), and behavior management techniques Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and professionally Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or autism by applying inclusive teaching strategies Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to maintain an organized learning environment Demonstrated commitment to nurturing children's growth through mentoring and tutoring activities Relevant certifications such as CPR/First Aid are a plus; ongoing training in special education or literacy education is advantageous Join us in shaping the future by supporting our youngest learners!
