The Aide Urban Instructional must spend at least three hours of the day serving with their mentor teacher. The remaining hours may be spent supporting the school in whatever capacity the principal deems necessary. What you will do Support certificated teachers with instruction and classroom management, including student-directed learning, small-group instruction, project-based learning, and other strategies. Reinforce behavior expectations and procedures to maintain a safe, positive, high-functioning learning environment. Prepare classrooms and materials, including equipment, lesson resources, and homework; maintain supplies and organize records. Coach students in productive study and learning habits and provide individualized support—including accommodations for students with special needs—to promote academic and social success. Assists with assessments and help collect, organize, and review data to inform instruction. Supervise students during meals, transitions, recess, assemblies, and other non-instructional times. Assist with technology in classrooms and computer labs for students and staff. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to meet student needs; participate in professional development and PLCs. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required and Be enrolled in a 'residency program' with an MNPS partner institution. Job Summary The Aide Urban Instructional position is designed to satisfy an individual's student teacher requirement for TN teacher licensure. The Aide Urban Instructional provides instructional and classroom management support in conjunction with one or more certificated teachers. Under the supervision of a certified teacher, the Aide also provides academic and behavioral support to a cohort of students. The Aide helps teachers maximize learning time and implement differentiated instruction and support. Required Equivalency Starting At:
$20.45 Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline. .
