Job Description

Position Announcement Cosmetology Associate Instructor - Newbern Evening The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for a full-time evening Cosmetology Associate Instructor at our Newbern campus. Hours are Monday through Friday from 1:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, valid Cosmetologist License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology. Current, valid Cosmetology Instructor's License issued by the TN State Board of Cosmetology. Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a licensed Cosmetologist. Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher. Must show evidence of teaching ability. Possess organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality. Must possess computer skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Must have the ability to complete reports/paperwork and meet deadlines.
General Duties:
Provide instruction to students in all areas of the Cosmetology program. Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students' progress. Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports. Maintain good public relations with business and industry. Work in cooperation with post-secondary Cosmetology instructor to provide an optimum training experience. Collect live work fees and maintain appropriate documentation. Other duties as assigned.
