Immediately Job Description Norris Middle School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered individual to serve as a Special Education Teaching Assistant for the upcoming school year. This position supports students with diverse learning needs by assisting classroom teachers, supporting instructional activities, and helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Position Responsibilities Assist special education teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom support Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce academic and behavioral goals Support implementation of IEP accommodations and modifications Assist with classroom organization, supervision, and student monitoring Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all student matters Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children or students preferred Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, flexibility, and a willingness to support student success Must meet all state and district employment requirements Additional Information This position follows the Anderson County Schools calendar and schedule. Candidates should be committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally in a collaborative school environment.
