  • an County Correctional Complex Job Summary The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida/Huntsville is accepting applications for the position of Associate Instructor, HVAC located at the an County Correctional Complex, Wartburg, TN.
Job Duties Teach and instruct rehabilitation and correctional students in technical training to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the HVAC field through lecture, demonstrations, and/or audio visual aids
  • (Essential) Prepare syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans
  • (Essential) Accurately prepare and submit all required documentation/reports by set deadlines
  • (Essential) Administer tests to evaluate student progress
  • (Essential) Maintain all student academic records related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.)
  • (Essential) Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the HVAC industry
  • (Essential) Maintain closemunication with correctional personnel and TCAT Oneida/Huntsville administration
  • (Essential) Ensurepliance with all TBR, institutional, state, and federal requirements.
  • (Essential) Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree or Diploma from an accredited technical training program in HVAC
  • heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Three years of related work experience in the HVAC field. Preferred Qualifications HVAC diploma Teaching experience Kledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive kledge in the areas of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning industry. Ability toanize and provide theoretical and practical instructional activities to enable students topete in the HVAC job market Organizational andmunication skills necessary to be an effective teacher Computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, email, etc.) Indication of willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and business/industry personnel Commitment to remaining current with industry practices through professional development activities Ability to travel and/or work after school activities such as graduation, in-service, etc. Strong, moral character, mature attitude, and stable personality. Salary Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines Iplete online applications will not be considered.
