In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for children across early childhood and preschool levels. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives through active participation in classroom activities, lesson implementation, and individualized support. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills. Support children's development by implementing activities that promote communication skills, behavior management, and classroom engagement. Help create an inclusive environment by working effectively with children with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs. Use American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods to facilitate understanding and interaction with diverse learners. Support classroom management strategies to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere for all children. Aid in the supervision of children during activities such as playtime, meals, nap time, and outings. Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet each child's unique needs. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior as required for curriculum planning and reporting. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and classroom management techniques. Experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings; Montessori or private school experience is a plus. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or autism and implementing IEP goals. Proficiency in teaching foundational skills such as literacy education and math concepts for young learners. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that foster curiosity and learning through play-based activities. Compassionate approach to working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges; patience is essential. Join us in shaping bright futures!
